About the team you are joining
Global Aviation Data Management (GADM) team is responsible for the development, implementation and support of data solutions needed to monitor safety, operational and capacity KPIs, including managing Data Sharing Programs (IDX, FDX, MCX and ADX), supporting OSS lines of business in their data, analysis, reporting, and dashboard needs, ensuring the availability, reliability, and quality of the data through performance tuning and continuous monitoring and adhering to data governance policies, quality standards and best practices.
Reporting to the Head of Data Insights & Advanced Analytics, you will be responsible for the application of complex data science techniques toward the collection, analysis, transformation, and modelling of aviation data for a variety of data projects. This role is also involved in analyzing data from Flight Data Exchange, Incident Data Exchange, and Maintenance Cost Exchange programs. Identify patterns, detect anomalies, and prepare different types of recommendation and forecasting models.
We expect you to create and maintain optimal data pipeline, including algorithms and prototypes, so you can interpret trends and patterns and prepare data for prescriptive and predictive data analytics.
You will build analytical tools that utilize the data pipeline, transform, and load new data sets, to provide actionable insights while maintaining the data secure and accessible.
You may code new programs for ad hoc reports, custom products, and new production jobs while maintaining, improving, and executing existing Python/PySpark models and SQL and/or no SQL scripts.
Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data; develop deep-dive analysis and machine learning models to drive member value and customer success
Support team members in interpreting collected data and categorizing findings.
Apply advanced statistical methods such as regression analysis, clustering, factor analysis, time series analysis, and machine learning algorithms. Develop Generative AI and NLP models to uncover patterns and correlations within complex textual datasets. Obtain topics, perform taxonomy matching, and conduct text classification based on text categories.
University or Master’s level degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering).
Over five years of experience with Python and SQL, including machine learning models, generative AI algorithms, and large-scale problem-solving.
Passion for data processing, modelling, analytics, and experience with AWS EC2, S3, EMR, AWS Sage maker, open source LLM models and Snowflake.
Proficient in root-cause analysis on data and processes to answer business questions and identify improvement opportunities.
Applied knowledge of statistical data analysis and visualization, with experience in BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Excellent English communication skills, ability to work with multiple stakeholders, understand product priorities, and solve core problems efficiently. Experience with aviation data is a plus.
