Job summary

Dialogue is seeking a Senior Data Platform Developer to design, build, and maintain a modern data platform that powers organization-wide data products and insights.

You will define engineering best practices across ingestion to consumption, partner with cross-functional teams, and own the end-to-end data lifecycle in a full DevOps model. Strong Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Python skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building production data systems with large-volume pipelines and real-time events.
• Strong experience in data warehouse modelling, performance optimization, and semantic layer development.
• Proficiency with Snowflake and dbt.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow management and resilient pipelines.
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources (SaaS, Cloud DBs, APIs, event streams).
• Advanced SQL and strong Python software engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data ingestion frameworks for batch and streaming data using robust pipelines.
• Define and enforce data modelling standards, including dimensional modelling and semantic layers.
• Embed data validation, testing, and observability across the data lifecycle.
• Develop AI-assisted workflows to accelerate data product development lifecycles.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC using CircleCI or GitHub Actions and Terraform.
• Own data storage optimization and access control in Snowflake, with data governance policies.
• Lead and mentor other engineers, translating requirements into clear designs and decisions.
