This role intentionally blends data architecture thinking with hands‑on data platform administration, ensuring that platform solutions are both well‑architected and reliably operated.

Reporting to the Manager - Data Management Platforms, the Senior Data Platform Administrator plays a critical role in shaping the technical direction of EDC's data ecosystem while also ensuring day‑to‑day operational excellence, security, performance, and cost optimization across cloud‑based data platforms.

This role is ideal for a senior practitioner who is equally comfortable setting architectural direction, governing standards, and getting hands‑on to build, operate, and improve platforms at scale.

  • Define and track platform performance, cost, reliability, and adoption metrics, contributing to service scorecards
Data Architecture & Solution Design
  • Define, maintain, and evolve data and analytics reference architectures, standards, design patterns, and guiding principles
  • Design end‑to‑end data solution architectures, including data flows, integrations, and platform services
  • Conduct targeted data exploration and analysis to identify architectural, operational, and performance trends supporting decision‑making
  • Partner with cloud, security, integration, and solution architects to ensure cohesive enterprise design outcomes
