Job summary

A leading financial services institution located in Toronto is seeking a Data Engineer to develop and maintain data pipelines for enterprise analytics. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of experience in data engineering, strong SQL skills, and hands-on experience with Informatica and dbt. Qualifications

• 3–6 years experience in data engineering or ETL development.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica ETL tools.
• Experience with dbt and ELT‑based transformation frameworks.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modeling concepts.
• Experience working with enterprise data warehouses or cloud platforms.
• Experience with source control (Git), testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Develop ETL workflows using Informatica IICS.
• Build transformation models and data pipelines using dbt.
• Develop optimized SQL transformations for large datasets.
• Implement data quality checks and validation logic within ETL pipelines.
• Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with data analysts and architects to design scalable data models.
• Document data lineage, transformations, and technical architecture.
• Participate in Agile development processes and code reviews.
