Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Lead Data Technician in Vancouver, BC to manage installation, maintenance and decommissioning of data center infrastructure. The role includes racking and stacking servers, installing fiber and copper cabling, supporting hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting network and server issues.

You will mentor junior technicians, coordinate with vendors and project teams, and maintain accurate documentation and inventory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with data center infrastructure and server racking.
• 1 year of experience overseeing 2 technicians.
• Ability to read technical drawings and rack elevations.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and ladder work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and maintenance of data center infrastructure.
• Rack and stack servers, install fiber and copper cabling.
• Support hardware upgrades and troubleshoot network/server issues.
