Job Summary

At the Centre for Advanced Analytics, Data Science, and Innovation (CAADSI) of Fraser Health, we are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our agile team. Reporting to the Director, Analytics, you will develop and maintain innovative analytical solutions to meet organizational needs and ensure the technical infrastructure's development and sustainability.

Job duties:
  1. Lead in developing, processing, evaluating, and reviewing information, providing insights and recommendations across all organizational levels.
  2. Serve as a senior analytical resource, offering expertise in quality and performance measurement, evaluation, and emerging analytics trends.
  3. Optimize reporting procedures, explore automation, reduce redundancies, and ensure analytic products offer actionable insights.
  4. Recommend standards for database architecture, define metadata, and establish ETL requirements and standards.
  5. Facilitate knowledge transfer among technical staff during development of decision support applications.
  6. Partner with clients to understand analytical needs and develop solutions through decision briefs and plans.
  7. Provide detailed data narratives, identify key issues, and forecast trends for stakeholders.
  8. Coordinate data exchange with various agencies and external groups.
  9. Manage analytics projects, including planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in decision support, data analysis, healthcare management, and managing technical projects.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Power BI preferred).

This role is based at our Central City office in Surrey, BC, with a hybrid work model (2x/week in-office).
