Job summary

CAAT Pension Plan is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen our Security Operations team. You will lead cloud security initiatives, manage incident response, and coordinate vulnerability management across on-premises and cloud environments.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in cybersecurity, a CS degree, and certifications such as CISSP or CCSP. The role involves collaboration with IT, development, and operations to embed security across the SDLC and protect our members' data.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of cybersecurity experience including Application Security, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Cloud Security
• Degree in computer science or related field
• Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, Security+)
• Understanding of ISO27001, NIST, CIS, GDPR, SOC 2 frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, Mac security configurations

Responsibilities

• Provide SME leadership to improve cloud security posture and ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead IR efforts and coordinate incident response using Azure Sentinel, CrowdStrike, and SIEM/SOAR
• Manage vulnerability management program with Tenable and drive patching
• Embed security controls into SDLC including secure coding reviews (SAST/DAST)
• Conduct regular risk assessments, penetration testing support, and security audits
• Develop and refine security playbooks, runbooks, and threat-hunting methodologies
• Collaborate with IT, development, and operations to embed security across the organization
• Mentor junior security engineers and analysts
• Harden CAAT environments against AI/ML-based attacks
