Job summary

You will collaborate with the workforce manager to ensure pipelines meet strategic demands and maintain compliance with labor requirements and project guidelines. The role requires at least 5 years of recruitment experience in construction, strong stakeholder skills and a proactive, metrics-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certificate or related diploma/degree preferred.
• 5 years of progressive recruitment experience in construction or related industry.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and handle confidential information.
• Knowledge of labor practices, wage standards, and apprenticeship programs.

Responsibilities

• Screens résumés, interviews candidates, and maintains a strong candidate pipeline.
• Sourcing via channels and social media to improve quality and fill hard-to-fill roles.
• Builds relationships with labor pools to recruit the best candidates.
• Develops metrics to improve recruitment processes and outcomes.
• Creates proactive sourcing plans for priority roles.
• Verifies qualifications with apprenticeship and labor boards.
• Keeps confidential workforce documentation compliant with policies.
• collaborates with workforce managers to translate forecasts into recruitment plans.
• Understands compensation structures and communicates benefits.
• Interprets labor agreements and project guidelines in hiring.
• Mentors junior recruiters and coaches staff.
• Develops and maintains networks with HR professionals.
• Promotes trade and apprenticeship opportunities.
• Coordinates safety training for new hires on each site.
• Performs market research on hiring demographics and wage rates.
• Maintains strong relationships with stakeholders and decision makers.
