About the Role:
Our TorontoJobs.ca client is seeking a Senior CPA Audit Manager to join their dynamic audit practice in Ontario, Canada. This leadership role is ideal for a highly motivated and experienced professional who can independently manage audit engagements from planning to completion. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of ASPE and CAS, proven corporate tax knowledge, and demonstrated ability to lead audit teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and execute comprehensive risk-based audit plans
  • Conduct and document system reviews and internal control evaluations
  • Prepare detailed risk assessments and audit programs
  • Lead and supervise audit staff through all phases of audit engagements
  • Ensure audits comply with Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS)
  • Review and finalize working paper files and draft financial statements
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve complex accounting and tax issues
  • Maintain current knowledge of ASPE, corporate taxation, and industry best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in audit methodology and quality

Qualifications:

  • CPA designation in good standing (CPA Ontario preferred)
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in public accounting
  • Extensive knowledge of ASPE, CAS, and corporate tax
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with CaseWare, TaxPrep, and other audit tools
