Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure, energy, or nuclear projects.
  • Professional membership (CIQS, RICS, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in cost estimating tools and project controls software.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kincardine 3 days per week.

Job Description

You are a highly experienced Senior Cost Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, ideally within the nuclear sector. You bring strategic insight, leadership, and a deep understanding of cost management best practices. You’re ready to take ownership of complex projects and mentor junior team members while delivering exceptional value to clients.

Your Role

As a Senior Cost Manager, you will lead cost planning and control efforts across major nuclear infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure financial objectives are met while maintaining compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and management of cost estimates across all project phases.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of cost reporting including cashflow analysis and change management.
  • Drive value engineering and risk management initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice on life cycle costing, benchmarking, and sustainability.
  • Act as the primary client liaison for all cost-related matters.
  • Mentor and support junior cost consultants and project team members.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and nuclear safety protocols.
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure, energy, or nuclear projects.
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Professional membership (CIQS, RICS, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in cost estimating tools and project controls software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kincardine 3 days per week. Eligibility for a nuclear site clearance.
