Job summary

AECOM's Mining Team Canada is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to develop cost estimates across mine project lifecycles, including labor, materials, equipment, and logistics. The successful candidate will prepare BoE, assumptions, contingencies, and supporting data for early to detailed design phases and construction execution.

The role may be based in any Canadian office, with a hybrid work model and emphasis on project cost management, benchmarking, and risk analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with extensive cost estimating experience in mining/industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of estimating methods, contingency, risk, and industry standards.
• Experience with industrial/mining class estimate frameworks and documenting assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Develops estimates aligned to mining deliverables with BoE, plan, assumptions, and contingency.
• Provide estimates for conceptual to construction phases and manage cost baselines.
• Prepare material, equipment, and labor take-offs from design deliverables.
• Lead risk assessment and cost validation with project team and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with PMs and discipline leads to support CAPEX/OPEX budgeting.
