Job summary
WT Partnership is seeking a Senior Cost Consultant in Toronto to lead cost estimating, cost planning and quantity surveying across architectural, structural, and infrastructure projects. You will develop estimates from feasibility through construction documents, benchmarking against market data, and presenting final cost plans to clients.
The role requires 7+ years of experience, strong reading of drawings, and proficiency with CostX and Excel.
Qualifications
- University degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- 7+ years delivering pre-construction and post-contract cost services.
- Ability to read drawings and identify scope gaps.
- Experience with cost estimation using drawings and specifications.
- Full Canadian working rights.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain construction cost estimates and cost plans at design milestones.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis for materials, labour and other expenses.
- Prepare budgets and present final cost plans to clients.
- Advise clients on cost-saving measures and solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet deliverables.
- Lead value management / value engineering reviews and post-contract cost management.
