Responsibilities

  • Lead VDC/BIM management across projects and ensure standards are followed.
  • Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, workflows.
  • Oversee creation and maintenance of BIM models.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors to integrate VDC/BIM into workflows.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and resolve design conflicts.
  • Provide training and support on VDC/BIM tools.
  • Stay current with latest VDC/BIM technologies and software.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the VDC/BIM team; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Maintain library of VDC/BIM content and standards.

General Description:

The Senior Coordinator of VDC/BIM is responsible for leading the implementation and management of BIM processes and technologies throughout the design and construction phases of projects. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, enhancing project coordination, and ensuring the effective use of virtual design tools to improve project outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • VDC/BIM Management
    • Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for all projects
    • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and management of BIM models
    • Ensure compliance with BIM standards and project requirement
  • Project Coordination
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate VDC/BIM processes into project workflows
    • Facilitate coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and ensure model accuracy
    • Support the project team in using VDC/BIM tools for planning, design, and construction activities
  • Identify and implement the latest VDC/BIM technologies and software to enhance project efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide training and support to project teams on VDC/BIM tools and processes
  • Develop and maintain a library of VDC/BIM content and standards
  • Quality Control
    • Conduct regular audits of BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
    • Identify and address any discrepancies or issues within the models
    • Ensure that BIM models are updated throughout the project lifecycle
  • Process Improvement
    • Analyze current VDC/BIM processes and identify areas for improvement
    • Develop and implement best practices to optimize VDC/BIM workflows and enhance project outcomes
    • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in VDC/BIM technology
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the VDC/BIM team, providing guidance and support
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
