Job summary

Doane Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Consultant, Talent Attraction (technology focused recruiter) to lead full-cycle recruitment across Canada, partnering with leaders to fill mid to senior roles. You will leverage Taleo, conduct assessments, and develop proactive sourcing strategies while promoting the firm’s employer brand.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in both agency and corporate environments.
• Undergraduate degree is preferred.
• Proven ability to cold-call, research and source top talent.
• Excellent writing, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience using recruiting tech, talent analytics and AI-enabled sourcing tools.
• Able to build rapport and have candid conversations with leaders.

As a Senior Consultant, Talent Attraction [Technology focused recruiter]

You will play a key role in attracting and hiring top talent across Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with business leaders across the firm and support a wide range of recruitment needs.

• From sourcing talent to presenting candidate profiles to negotiating offers, you’ll own the full-cycle recruitment process for individual contributors to key leadership positions

As part of our award-winning Talent Attraction team, your responsibilities will include:

• Recruit top talent for mid to senior level positions across Canada, with a primary (but not exclusive) focus on technology roles
• Leverage online recruiting tools and our in-house Applicant Tracking System (Taleo) to identify, engage, and recruit high-quality candidates
• Conduct candidate assessments to evaluate technical capabilities, experience, and assess against key firm attributes
• Develop creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive talent
• Provide market intelligence and recruitment insights to support informed hiring decisions
• Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by providing guidance, market insight, and recruitment expertise
• Inspire candidates by enthusiastically promoting the firm’s employer brand
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and teams across the firm
• Deliver an exceptional candidate and client experience, recognizing that every interaction matters and that every touch leaves a trace

We benchmark regularly across a wide spectrum of roles, industries, sectors, and levels to ensure our ranges are both competitive and current. But we don’t stop there. We also consider the unique strengths, experiences, and impact each individual brings to the table. Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $85,000–$105,000 in Toronto, ON. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
