We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of residential projects using Intelligent City’s prefabricated mass timber building systems. This role oversees design assist, coordination, delivery, and financial management, while serving as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and internal teams. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, strategic leadership, and problem‑solving skills to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from home part of the week. Regular in‑person presence is required at our Delta, BC manufacturing facility and travel to and from sites and meetings.

Summary of Role & Responsibilities - Senior Project Manager:
  • Lead full project lifecycle: client engagement, design assist, planning and coordination, fabrication support, delivery, and installation.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants, ensuring alignment on objectives, scope, and expectations.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, manufacturing, and site‑logistics teams to integrate technical requirements and optimize project delivery.
  • Review, negotiate, and approve contracts with owners, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure clarity, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, and project closeout activities, including invoicing and reconciliation.
  • Monitor site operations for compliance with quality, safety, technical, and contractual standards; proactively resolve field issues.
  • Provide strategic input on construction services, resource planning, and process improvements to enhance performance and client satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic input on product development to enhance value proposition and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, project coordinators, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Conduct post‑project evaluations to capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement of project delivery.
Education & Qualifications, Required:
  • Post‑secondary education in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Skills & Experience, Required:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, preferably in multi‑family, modular, prefabricated, or building envelope systems.
  • Proven track record of independently managing projects from pre‑construction through delivery and close‑out, including coordination with General Contractors and multiple subtrades.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, contracts, and building codes, with the ability to interpret and apply them with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, schedules, resources, and risks effectively across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and develop project management staff.
  • Advanced problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities, with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with industry‑specific tools or digital collaboration platforms is an asset.
Important to Mention!
  • When on the production floor or construction site, wear appropriate protective equipment, such as a hard hat, hearing protection, safety work boots, and safety glasses. Must provide your own CSA approved 6” safety footwear.
  • Ability to provide proof of the right to work for the Company in Canada.
  • Successful candidates may be required to submit to a background check.

$129,000 - $160,000 a year

For this role, the estimated base salary range is $129,000 to $160,000. The final offer for this role will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and demonstrated proficiency, as well as relevant market data and current market conditions. These factors will be objectively evaluated during the interview process. This range is provided for transparency and may be updated as business or market conditions evolve. Benefits begin after 3 months of employment.
