Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten years working as a Site Superintendent or Site Foreman supervising a crew.
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in water infrastructure, transportation or community development, construction inspection or design.
  • A degree is asset but not required (B.Sc. or Diploma in Civil Engineering).
  • Professional registration eligibility (CET, EIT or P.Eng) would be an asset but is not required.

  • Construction Coordination and Management for municipal civil projects.
  • Resident Site Inspection and Monitoring.
  • Construction Administration and related duties.
  • Project Management for large and complex projects.
  • Proposal Preparation and client development.
  • Infrastructure design including Water Distribution, Sanitary and Storm Sewer, Reservoirs and Lift Stations.
  • Roadway design and site grading.
  • Business development and revenue generation.
  • Travel for out-of-town projects when needed.

Your Opportunity

Our Burnaby office has an opportunity for a Site Superintendent, Engineer or Engineering Technologist. This position would be for resident, field inspections in the spring, summer and fall, and project management, contract administration, reports and proposals in the off season.

Your Key Responsibilities

This role will be supporting multi-disciplinary municipal civil projects, related to new build and infrastructure renewal.

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of ten years working as a Site Superintendent or Site Forman supervising a crew.

  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in water infrastructure, transportation or community development, construction inspection or design.

  • A B.Sc. or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution would be an asset but is not required.

  • A CET, EIT or P.Eng. with eligibility for registration with ASTTBC or EGBC would be an asset but is not required.

Position will work in both a field and office setting. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Must be available to travel for out of town projects when needed.

Pay Range:

Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$102,600.00 - $153,900.00 Annually

Pay Transparency:

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary:
