Job summary

Ada is seeking a Security Infrastructure Engineer to own cloud and platform security end to end across AWS and Azure, building guardrails into the product and automating security wherever possible.

You will mentor engineers, define threat models, and translate risk into concrete engineering solutions while operating with high autonomy on long‑term initiatives. This remote‑first role offers flexible work and strong growth within Ada's security program.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or security engineering roles with ability to set direction across multiple teams.
• Deep hands-on experience with major cloud providers, preferably AWS; Azure experience is a plus.
• Strong experience designing and securing cloud IAM, networking, secrets management, and distributed systems at scale.
• Extensive experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and policy as code.
• Experience building or operating detection and response systems including SIEM, CSPM/CIEM, and cloud security monitoring.
• Experience with securing LLM and agentic AI systems: guardrails, safe tool use, failure isolation.
• Proven ability to turn recurring security requests into self-serve tooling and reduce ticket queues.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and operate security technologies across cloud, network, identity, endpoint, and application layers.
• Define cloud security reference architectures, threat models, and guardrails aligned with zero trust.
• Own the lifecycle of security tooling: cloud-native security services, SIEM, CSPM, CIEM, EDR, DLP, vulnerability management.
