Job summary

FinDev Canada is seeking a Senior Associate or Climate and Impact Officer to support impact assessments for investments in emerging markets. Reporting to the Director, Development Impact, you will work with investment teams to implement FinDev Canada's Impact Approach and advance measurement practices.

The role blends analysis, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the investment lifecycle. Responsibilities include due diligence, climate eligibility and emissions analysis, and

Qualifications

• 3–5 years for Senior Associate (Grade 16) in development finance, sustainable finance, or impact investing.
• 5+ years for Officer (Grade 17) with leadership of impact assessments.
• Fluency in both official languages (French and English).

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-screening, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring of transactions.
• Assess alignment with impact objectives and integrate considerations throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Perform climate finance assessments, including GHG analysis and reporting.
• Develop and improve impact methodologies, tools, and templates.
• Prepare reports and briefing materials for senior management and boards.
• Mentor junior staff and lead process improvements.
