Overview

The Senior Client Solutions Analyst (SCSA) contributes to the overall success of Real Estate Banking, Canadian Commercial Banking, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Sr. CSA provides credit and administrative support to the Real Estate Banking team for the development and maintenance of a portfolio of loan and deposit accounts. He/she assists Relationship Managers with annual reviews, new applications and amendments and ensures that required reports are received and analyzed in accordance with conditions of the loan commitment. The Sr. CSA reviews all new credits for prefunding conditions, reporting requirements and sets up files and diary system for new and existing credit facilities. He/she coordinates the completion of all documents required for Global Transaction Banking products and services (i.e. current accounts, RDC, KYC documentation); follows up and rectifies security defects on the BSC Defect List.

Responsibilities
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Work closely with Director and Associate Director to provide a variety of services to a portfolio of existing and prospective clients.
  • Onboarding: support the collection of information directly from clients and from various sources necessary to assess the client’s risk profile to meet regulatory requirements (KYC, AML, etc.). This includes contacting clients, sourcing internal/external sources, documenting information in Know Your Client documentation, and responding to internal Compliance groups.
  • New Credit: prepare credit file, ensure all documents filed, funding checklist/advance documentation/draw requests, liaise with solicitor for legal docs, etc.
  • Coordinate efforts with internal partners and directly reach out to clients to address activities such as resolution of escalated client challenges, collection/processing of financial reporting, funding requirements and onboarding needs; assist in preparing credit reviews and support credit recommendations; assist with credit proposals.
  • Assist in addressing client needs by referring ancillary products and other partner opportunities; provide suggestions to continually improve processes and gather client feedback (e.g., Pulse).
  • Understand and apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Ensure effective operations within the area and maintain day-to-day business controls to meet obligations related to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including responsibilities under relevant risk management frameworks.
  • Champion a high-performance environment by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning.
Qualifications
  • University or College degree with Finance, Accounting or related business background, or equivalent work experience.
  • Commitment to excellent client service and ability to resolve issues promptly and amicably.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple requests.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to obtain agreements within Commercial Banking and partners.
  • Strong written and verbal skills in French and English.
  • Knowledge of Onboarding, Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering processes.
  • Knowledge of financial statements and credit analysis; experience with credit structures and risk management.
  • Familiarity with fulfilment processes and partner roles; knowledge of the Business Service Center, Enhanced Due Diligence Team and Cash Management teams.
  • Understanding of the Commercial Banking Distribution structure and related groups within Commercial Banking (Roynat, Real Estate, Leasing).
  • Familiarity with relevant software and technology platforms for Commercial (e.g., Salesforce, Intralink, Lotus Notes).
  • Good knowledge of Commercial products and services; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel emphasized).
  • Flexibility to adapt to a wide variety of tasks.

In addition to French, the successful candidate must also have sufficient knowledge of English, as the work involves interacting and collaborating regularly with groups and individuals based in Toronto, as well as constantly interacting with other people, including clients, who speak English, locally and elsewhere.
