Job summary

Lanmark Inc. is seeking a Civil/Structural Designer to support growth by integrating engineering, construction, drafting and reception resources to produce a complete engineering package for the construction group.

The role focuses on coordinating civil/structural scope and serving as a primary drafter within the Drafting Team. The designer will model and layout drawing packages using Civil 3D, prepare foundational and structural steel drawings, mentor staff, and ensure quality and

Qualifications

Two-year program covering design principles and drafting procedures for piping design and construction packages.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented attitude.
5–10 years of civil/structural drafting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate projects: Collaborate with other disciplines to develop coordinated construction drawing packages.
Assist Project Managers and the design team in planning efficient project execution strategies.
Ensure that assigned projects are completed on time and tasks are matched to the right drafter.
Produce Civil Grading Drawing Packages using information from Engineering and Civil 3D modelling.
Prepare structural drawings, layouts, and details for foundations and structural steel.
Draft technical details with dimensions, materials and procedures using CADD software.
Integrate vendor drawings and materials into the overall design.
Review and check engineers’ sketches for feasibility and compliance with standards and client requirements.
Mentor drafters at all levels within the drafting department.
