Job summary

Deep-Water Intake Group in Canada is seeking a Senior Draftsman/Draftswoman to lead the production and coordination of technical drawings for major civil projects. You will liaise between drafting teams, engineers and construction teams to ensure accuracy, constructibility and timely delivery.

The role requires 5–10 years on site, strong expertise in AutoCAD and Revit, and proven leadership for mentoring drafters.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of construction site experience.
• 10–15 years of experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Detail-oriented with ability to draft from scratch.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Produce and coordinate technical drawings for construction projects.
• Lead and mentor drafters and coordinate with engineers and construction teams.
• Create drawings from scratch based on inputs, site conditions and project specs.
• Draw site installations with logistics and lifting operations; prepare utilities, traffic, dewatering drawings.
• Develop temporary works drawings including formwork details.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and align with project requirements; revise as needed.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit to produce high-quality civil/earthworks drawings.
• Prepare excavation sequence drawings for piles, rock anchors, and supports.
• Provide drafting input for permit applications and approvals.
