Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Chemical, Food Process preferred).
• Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
• P.Eng designation is considered a strong asset.
• Minimum 6 years of experience managing projects valued at $6–7 million or more.
• Experience in food & beverage or pulp and paper environments preferred.
• Background in engineering consulting is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel 25%, including Calgary to Edmonton if based outside the city.
• Strong project management, cost control, and technical troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle delivery of large-scale capital projects from design through commissioning.
• Manage multi-million-dollar budgets, cost tracking and vendor negotiations for high-value returns.
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support for plant equipment and services.
• Work with regulatory authorities to secure permits and approvals for projects.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and lead cross-functional teams on best-in-class solutions.
• Collaborate with Plant Managers and stakeholders to implement process technologies across facilities.
