Cogniify, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support infrastructure and developer platform initiatives.

You will collaborate with platform engineering, DevOps, security and QA teams to translate technical needs into clear requirements, workflows and self-service solutions. The role focuses on making it easier for developers to access cloud infrastructure, environments, CI/CD pipelines and security tools, reducing manual setup and boosting productivity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or similar, with cloud/DevOps exposure.
• Strong ability to translate complex tech needs into clear requirements and user stories.
• Experience collaborating with platform engineering, DevOps, security and QA teams.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum delivery and backlog refinement.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for cloud infrastructure, environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Define infrastructure services, self-service workflows and onboarding processes.
• Document workflows, runbooks and user guides; enable tool adoption.
• Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning as Scrum Lead when needed.
• Assess tools and vendor options, support build-versus-buy decisions.

Senior Business Systems Analyst – Infrastructure & Developer Platform

The Role

Cogniify is hiring a Senior BusinessSystems Analyst to support infrastructure and developer platform initiatives.You will work closely with platform engineering, DevOps, security, developmentand QA teams to translate technical needs into clear requirements, practicalworkflows and self-service solutions.

The role focuses on improving howdevelopers and testers access cloud infrastructure, development environments,CI/CD pipelines and security tools. You will help simplify processes, reducemanual setup and improve developer productivity, while supporting Agiledelivery and taking on Scrum Lead responsibilities when required.

What You Will Do

• Work with engineering, QA andproduct teams to gather requirements for cloud infrastructure, environments,CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and access management. Convert needs into epics,user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Help define and improveinfrastructure services, self-service provisioning workflows, standardenvironment templates and developer onboarding processes.
• Map current infrastructure andenvironment setup processes, identify manual work and delays, and defineimproved workflows with platform teams.
• Partner with cloud and platformengineers on infrastructure-as-code standards, landing zones and reusableprovisioning templates.
• Work with DevOps teams todocument requirements for build pipelines, deployment automation, artifactmanagement, release gates and environment promotion.
• Coordinate with security teamsto incorporate IAM, secrets management, policy controls, vulnerability checksand audit logging into development and infrastructure workflows.
• Define and track delivery andadoption metrics such as environment setup time, deployment frequency, changefailure rate, developer onboarding time and self-service adoption.
• Create clear process diagrams,documentation, runbooks, service definitions and user guides. Support teamtraining and adoption of new tools and workflows.
• Facilitate technical workshops,backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing coordination and releasereadiness. Act as Scrum Lead when required.
• Assess developer platform andcloud tools against business and technical requirements, and supportbuild-versus-buy decisions.

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience as aBusiness Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst, Platform Product Owner or similar,including at least 3 years working with cloud, infrastructure or DevOps teams.
• Strong understanding of AWS,Azure or Google Cloud, including networking, compute, storage and environmentprovisioning.
• Practical familiarity withCI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or Azure DevOps, andinfrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Bicep.
• Working knowledge of Docker,Kubernetes, configuration management and typical software deployment workflows.
• Understanding of InternalDeveloper Platforms, developer portals, service catalogs, golden paths andself-service infrastructure provisioning.
• Knowledge of cloud security andSecOps practices, including IAM, least privilege, secrets management,policy-as-code and security or compliance scanning.
• Ability to write cleartechnical requirements, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria,and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum orKanban delivery, requirements workshops, process mapping and stakeholdercoordination.
• Ability to use dashboards andmetrics to assess developer productivity, platform adoption and deliveryimprovements.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Backstage orother internal developer portals and platform-as-a-product approaches.
• Knowledge of DORA metrics,BPMN, value-stream mapping and gap analysis.
• Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2 orNIST controls and security review processes.
• Experience reviewing Terraformconfigurations, pipeline definitions and cloud architecture diagrams.
• Experience assessing vendorsolutions and preparing business cases for platform investments.
• Bachelor’s degree in ComputerScience, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field. AWS/Azure, CBAP,CKAD or Security+ certifications are an advantage.
