Consistently ranked as Canada’s most reputable financial technology brand, Interac is deeply embedded in the daily lives of Canadians.Who You Will Work With:The vacant Business Systems Analyst role will report to Leader Process and Operational Excellence as part of a team providing operational oversight for the Real Time Rail payments systemsWhat You Will Do:Understand business needsMeet with stakeholders to understand problems, objectives, and desired outcomesUnderstand business processes, policies, and controlsGather and document requirementsConduct interviews, workshops, and process reviewsTranslate business needs into functional and non-functional requirementsWrite user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and requirements specificationsAnalyze business processesMap current-state (“as-is”) and design future-state (“to-be”) processesIdentify gaps, redundancies, manual work, and opportunities for automationRecommend process improvementsTranslate between business and ITExplain technical concepts to business stakeholdersExplain business requirements to developers, architects, and technical teamsResolve ambiguity ensuring everyone has the same understanding of the requirementDefine system solutionsHelp determine how systems should support business processes.Evaluate configuration vs. customization vs. new functionality.Support development and implementationClarify requirements for developersReview proposed solutions against business requirements.Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and demosHelp manage scope and requirements changes.Testing and quality assuranceDevelop or review test scenarios and acceptance criteriaSupport system/integration testing and UAT.Validate that the delivered solution meets requirementsHelp investigate and resolve defects.Stakeholder managementFacilitate workshops and decision-makingManage conflicting requirements and priorities.Obtain stakeholder approval/sign-off.Documentation and governanceMaintain requirements, process diagrams, decision logs, and system documentationWhat You Bring:3 to 4 years of experience working as a Business Systems AnalystEligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacityWhat We’re Offering:The hiring range for this position is $120,000 - $135,000 , and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
