The Opportunity

This is not a traditional sales role. As the Senior Business Development Specialist you will build the growth engine behind one of PERGOLUX’s most important regions. Working directly with the Country Manager, you will identify, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives that lift revenue, margin, and EBIT.

You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy and execution—turning ideas into business cases, business cases into projects, and projects into measurable results.

What You’ll Do
Strategic Ownership
  • Define and manage the North American strategic initiative roadmap focused on growth, efficiency, and contribution margin.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities and ruthlessly prioritize what moves the needle.
End-to-End Execution
  • Develop business cases, secure resources, lead execution, and track KPIs through to measurable impact.
  • Ensure initiatives land successfully and sustainably.
Growth Motions & New Bets
  • Test and scale new channels (e.g., B2B2C pipelines).
  • Support new country launches and regional expansions.
Payments & Margin Optimization
  • Consolidate and renegotiate payment providers to significantly reduce fees.
  • Improve logistics performance and showroom efficiency (e.g., measuring-kit rollout).
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Tech, Marketing, and Product to turn local needs into scalable solutions.
  • Ensure alignment, clarity, and momentum across teams.
Country Manager Sparring Partner
  • Support OKR processes, management reporting, and decision-making with concise, data-backed insights.
Pilot, Test & Scale
  • Experiment with new tools, workflows, and partners.
  • Double down on scalable wins while protecting brand standards and sustainability.
Who You Are
  • Strong with numbers; able to run quick analyses, size opportunities, and model business cases (Excel/Sheets).
  • Excellent at structuring projects, prioritizing, managing critical paths, and delivering on time.
  • Comfortable constructively pushing back, aligning cross-functional teams, and influencing without authority.
  • Action-oriented, focused on measurable outputs, and quick to iterate.
Background Fit (3–5 years of experience)

Experience in one or more of:

  • Business Development, Growth, Ops, Strategy
  • Founder’s Associate / Entrepreneur-in-Residence
  • Performance Marketing
  • Finance / Commercial Analytics
Languages
  • English: C1 business proficiency
Working Model
  • On-site in Surrey
  • High autonomy + quarterly alignment cycles with the Country Manager.

  • Experience launching new markets or running B2B2C motions.
  • Exposure to sales environments (without being a direct salesperson)
