Senior Business Architect

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Senior Business Architect to support and guide multiple Wealth Management technology initiatives. This role is responsible for aligning business goals with technology strategies, supporting architectural decision‑making, and ensuring that solutions are designed and delivered to meet both operational and regulatory requirements.

Location : Downtown Toronto, 2 days per week

Contract : 12-months

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and coordinate multiple Wealth Management technology projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and architectural standards.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and Enterprise Architects to influence and support architectural decisions across platforms and domains.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, translating strategic objectives into actionable technology plans and roadmaps.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional workshops to define business capabilities, identify process improvement opportunities, and evaluate technology investments.
  • Develop and maintain business capability models and process maps to support strategic planning and solution design.
  • Ensure technology solutions comply with Wealth Management regulations and internal governance frameworks.
  • Support the development and adoption of business architecture frameworks, tools, and best practices across the organization.

Key Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in business architecture, enterprise analysis, or strategic technology planning within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of Wealth Management operations, platforms, and regulatory landscape
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with business capability modeling, process mapping, and architecture frameworks (TOGAF, BIZBOK).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Familiarity with financial platforms such as CRM (Salesforce), portfolio management, trading systems, and client onboarding tools.
  • Experience working with Agile delivery teams and product management.
  • Certification in Business Architecture (Certified Business Architect) or related disciplines is a plus.
