Position Description: Employment Type: Full-time Saguenay. Experience Level: 8+ years.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in HR and Payroll systems. The successful candidate will work closely with business and IT teams to optimize HR and Payroll processes, lead system enhancements, and support strategic initiatives. The role requires a deep understanding of HRIS, Payroll systems, and business process analysis, with specific experience in UKG and exposure to PeopleSoft considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Analyze current HR and Payroll processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and compliance.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and system requirements.
  • Configure, test, and support HR and Payroll systems with a primary focus on UKG (UltiPro / Dimensions).
  • Support integration and data flow between HR systems, Payroll, and other business applications.
  • Work with developers, testers, and vendors to ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), develop training materials, and support go‑live and post‑implementation activities.
  • Maintain process and system documentation, ensuring accuracy and traceability for future enhancements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for HR and Payroll systems during audits, upgrades, and transformation projects.
Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on HR and Payroll systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with HR tool such as UKG, SAP for implementation, configuration, and process support.
  • Strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes including time management, benefits, compensation, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to work effectively with business and technical teams.
  • Bilingual in English and French.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with HR or Payroll modules.
  • Knowledge of system integrations between HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and Time Management systems.
  • Experience with HR or Payroll reporting tools such as Power BI, Cognos, or UKG Pro BI.
  • Understanding of payroll compliance and regulations within multiple jurisdictions.
