Position Purpose:

The Business Analyst & Project Manager fosters an unwavering reverence for business improvement initiatives, innovation and customer service throughout the organization. The candidate works closely with various levels of senior managers in the faculty and in the clinical environment and supervises the evaluation of projects, procedures and operational requirements and makes recommendations that follow strategic and operational direction of the Faculty. The candidate must have a very thorough understanding of the business and clinical requirements and the technical knowledge in order to fulfill the requirements of the position. The candidate acts as an official liaison between Information Management Services and the client to identify new technologies, systems and procedures that could be applied to the Faculty’s advantage. The candidate manages projects, leads the Faculty development initiatives and acts as a team leader by supervising the implementation of solutions.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Business Analysis: Analyses and evaluates operational requirements, process efficiencies, existing system capabilities and workflow to determine and recommend if changes or upgrades are possible within existing systems or if new system developments are required in order to increase the faculty business efficiency and environment.
  2. Project Management: Manages projects, leads the Faculty development initiatives and acts as a team leader by supervising the implementation of solutions. Ensures that appropriate controls and progress reports are prepared regularly.
  3. Expert Advice: Provides expert advice to various levels of senior management, faculty and clinical members on all matters associated to business analysis, technology recommendations and implementation strategies.
  4. Business Requirement: Organises, specifies and models the client’s business requirements to ensure they are complete and unambiguous.
  5. Project Delivery: Assists with the implementation of workflow changes in faculty operations by ensuring smooth technology solution transition.

What you will bring:

  • University degree in computer science, in business administration, information technology or related field;
  • Minimum of five years of related experience in supporting business units and their information technology needs;
  • Experience in project management, including managing interdisciplinary teams;
  • Experience in using project management methodologies, systems, techniques and industry standards and best practices;
  • Experience in customer service to act as a resource person;
  • Experience performing analysis and evaluations of business process;
  • Ability to interact with senior management for strategic issues;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, under pressure and with very firm deadlines;
  • Ability to guide management in the acceptance of business solutions;
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with Faculty business clients;
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and priority-management skills;
  • Bilingualism - French and English (oral and written);
