Job summary

Lancesoft is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 24-month engagement in Toronto, operating in a hybrid model (2–3 days on site). The role focuses on stakeholder engagement, requirements elicitation, and bringing complex business problems to life through process analysis and documentation.

You will work across multiple departments to drive digital documentation initiatives, validate requirements, and support IT implementations, ensuring business value and clear communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in Business Admin, IT or related discipline.
• 10+ years of business consulting experience.
• 7+ years as business, business systems or process analyst.
• Experience with digital documentation services and information management concepts.
• Strong ability to identify requirements and propose process/app solutions.
• Experience in process analysis, design and modelling in complex environments.
• Experience consolidating/validating requirements and designing cross-functional solutions.
• Major IT implementation experience and understanding of system impacts on business change.
• Experience assisting with RFI/RFP documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder engagement.

Work Location: Union Station East Wing, Toronto, ON (hybrid model of 2-3 days a week on site)

Job Description:

The Business Analyst is expected to also competently handle various assigned initiatives and project work as may be required, provide a high level of service / engagement via stakeholder management and quality requirements and process documentation, as well as take part in other duties, as needed and assigned.

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, IT or related discipline
• 10+ years of business consulting experience
• 7+ years of experience as a business, business systems and/or process analyst
• Demonstrable and comprehensive understanding and experience with digital documentation services, and analysis based on information management concepts
• Experience in dealing with complex business problems, identifying business/functional requirements and recommending how to best support them through processes and applications.
• Experience in process analysis, design, and modelling in a complex environment; hands-on experience in developing process diagrams and documentation
• Experience consolidating and validating requirements and designing solutions across diverse user groups
• Major IT implementation experience and understanding how systems are affected by business process change and their impacts
• Experience in assisting with and/or authoring RFI / RFP documentation
• Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, possessing the ability to manage and influence stakeholders and to sell recommendations by stating advantages and value in business terms; demonstrable experience engaging with multiple stakeholders from different business and technical areas.

Other Skills

• Extensive knowledge of business and systems development from methodology through RFP, analysis, design, development, implementation and production support
• Experience as a BA on a large-scale digital transformation project, especially moving an organization from paper-based systems to electronic document management
• Familiarity and understanding of human resources processes, especially in a large organization where multiple departments oversee different aspects of HR function
• Experience implementing third-party (vendor) solutions and services; cloud-based experience an asset
• Knowledge of municipal and provincial document retention by-laws / policies an asset
• Familiarity and understanding of performance measurement and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) definition/analysis
• Public and/or Transit experience an asset.
