We’re seeking a Senior Business Analyst accountable for delivering comprehensive reporting and analysis on the performance of the Carfax Technology organization, with a focus on measuring our capacity allocations for projects, tool usage and adoption, productivity, and work and project efficiency. This role is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and actionable insights that directly inform strategic decision-making and drive organizational accountability. In addition to reporting, the position supports delivery and agile process initiatives, contributing to process definition, improvement, and requirements gathering to enhance overall technology delivery effectiveness and productivity.
You’ll collaborate with our team of project managers, a driven set of technologists, and business and technology leaders from across the enterprise. You’ll leverage and balance a passion for project delivery, agile methodologies and productivity and process improvements.
This role has an expectation of 3 days in the office per week. This is subject to change based on future business needs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Performance Reporting Leadership: Design, develop, and deliver reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the Carfax Technology organization leveraging Atlassian, AI, and other project delivery tools in Carfax’s delivery tool suite.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with Carfax Technology leadership and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver clear, actionable insights.
- Dashboard & Report Management: Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and other visuals that accurately reflect the efficiency and capacity allocations of the Carfax Technology organization.
- Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of the data in project delivery toolset.
- Enterprise Process Support: Provide analytics expertise and support for technology delivery and agile processes.
- Process Optimization: Use analytics to identify opportunities for delivery process improvements within Carfax Technology as it relates to project delivery.
- Requirements Gathering: Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements for new project delivery and portfolio management tools.
- Best Practices & Standards: Develop and maintain reporting best practices, templates, and documentation standards for delivery analytics.
- Continuous Improvement and Automation: Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement in reporting and analytics practices, and seek ways to automate reporting for faster, more efficient, and more accurate access to the data.
- Training & Enablement: Support the Carfax Technology leadership teams in understanding and utilizing performance reports and analytics tools.
- Industry Awareness: Stay up to date on industry best practices and incorporate learnings into how we measure and improve productivity.
What we’re looking for
- Professional Experience: 8+ years of experience in business analytics, reporting, or operations, ideally within a technology environment.
- Performance Reporting Expertise: Strong background in designing and managing performance reporting for technology delivery. Experience working in a Project Management Office (PMO) preferred.
- Enterprise Process Analytics: Proven ability to support process definition, improvement, and requirements gathering at the enterprise level.
- Data & Analytics Tools: Proficiency in analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel), with a focus on data integrity and visualization. Experience as a user in the Atlassian Suite, and corporate productivity AI tools.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver reporting solutions that drive business value.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated success in using data and analytics to identify and implement process improvements.
- Compliance & Data Governance: Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements for reporting functions.
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant analytics certifications preferred.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to drive innovation, embrace change, and proactively identify opportunities for reporting and process improvement.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate performance data into clear, actionable insights.

Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Base Salary: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $92,000 to $125,000 annually. Final base salary will be determined based on geographical location, experience, and qualifications.
