Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in Bridge Consulting Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage quality, budget, and schedule of bridge projects.
  • Familiarity with Alberta Transportation design standards is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and design assignments for bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
  • Conduct analysis, design, and prepare tender packages.
  • Mentor junior staff to support their professional development.

We are looking for a talented Intermediate to Senior Bridge Project Manager to deliver projects as part of our Transportation Structures Department in Calgary, AB. MH’s Western Canada Bridge Group has experienced significant growth over the past 5 years. We are looking for talented engineers to solidify our team and allow us to deliver high end services to our current and future clients, particularly in Alberta, but also across Western Canada and nationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management and/or design management of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and foundation engineering assignments

  • Analysis, design, preparation of tender packages, visual inspections, report preparation, cost estimating, construction engineering services

  • Proposal preparation and assisting to develop client relations

  • Mentoring of junior staff

Qualifications:

  • P.Eng. designation with APEGA or the ability to transfer

  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the Bridge Consulting Engineering industry

  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is an asset

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and project manage quality, budget, schedule, and technical deliverables for bridge projects at all phases of the project life cycle. Proven ability to deliver bridge design and analysis projects from start to finish

  • Excellent report writing skills

  • Familiarity with CHBDC and Alberta Transportation design standards, construction specifications, and project delivery is an asset

  • Familiarity with City of Calgary and City of Edmonton design standards, construction specifications, and project delivery is an asset

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment

  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork

  • Experience with CSiBridge / SAP2000 / Midas / SFrame / AutoCAD and similar software is an asset

  • Experience with D/B or P3 projects is an asset

  • Experience acting in the role of Contract Administrator overseeing bridge construction projects is an asset
