Senior bookkeeper with some duties as a tax expert

Education: Bachelor's degree. Accounting. Accounting technology/technician and bookkeeping.

Location: Remote, based in Victoria, BC

Salary: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour (To be negotiated)

Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week

Terms of employment: Term or contract, Full time

Flexible hours

Start date: 2026-02-01

End date: 2027-02-28

Responsibilities
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Supervise staff
  • Oversee analysis of data and information and prepare reports
  • Manage accounts payable
  • Manage accounts receivable
  • Provide detailed information and guidance to clients on project analysis and design
