Job summary

Brex in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale full‑stack systems with a strong emphasis on backend architecture and data models.

You will collaborate with product, design, and ops teams to deliver customer‑facing software that drives measurable business impact and supports Brex's growth into new markets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, developing, and deploying full‑stack applications.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases and backend systems.
• Proficient in Java, Kotlin, or Python with strong communication.

• Own problems end-to-end, from user experience and data models to scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics
• Tune and polish features to a high degree of excellence

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with software engineering development cycles
• 7+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and deploying full-stack applications
• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Ability to hold yourself and the team to high standards
• Experience working with backend programming languages (Java, Kotlin, Python)
