Job summary

Plooto is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own the design and delivery of scalable backend services. You’ll build high-throughput, cloud-native systems that move money and power complex workflows on Azure and in Kubernetes, delivering real-time financial insights.

You’ll shape architecture, set engineering standards, mentor teammates, and partner with Product and Design to translate ambiguous problems into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience in high-growth or product-led environments.
• Strong expertise in C# and modern backend design principles.
• Proven track record of production-grade, testable, maintainable code.
• Experience building RESTful APIs in production.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of scalable backend services using .NET and Azure.
• Architect and evolve event-driven distributed systems handling high transaction volumes.
• Build API-first services with strong contracts, reliability and observability.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from design through production rollout.
• Mentor teammates and raise the engineering bar with code reviews and discussions.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate ambiguous problems into robust solutions.
