Job summary

Arcadia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to scale the core backend platform, focusing on distributed systems, APIs, and data infrastructure. You will shape architecture and engineering practices while mentoring teammates and delivering robust backend solutions.

The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration with product and security teams, and building AI governance capabilities in a fast-growing environment with a flexible hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling production backend systems.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, REST APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on development experience with Java/Spring Boot, or strong experience with Go or Python in backend environments.
• Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and software architecture.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment with high ownership.
• Experience building AI platforms or working in healthcare, fintech, cybersecurity, or other regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale backend services, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.
• Own technical decisions around scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Develop platform capabilities supporting AI governance, monitoring, lifecycle management, and operational tooling.
• Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, machine learning, and security teams.
• Solve complex technical challenges and translate product requirements into scalable backend solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, code quality, and engineering standards while mentoring teammates.
