Senior Backend Engineer (Hybrid - Toronto, 2 days/week)
Team: Platform Engineering
Type: Full-Time

We’re building the API layer behind hundreds of AI-powered workflows that marketers rely on every day. This is foundational work—powering everything from performance analytics to intelligent automation—and we need a backend engineer who can scale systems fast and clean.

You’ll be joining at a high-leverage moment. We’re post-Series B and shifting from 6 to 100+ workflows. The platform is growing rapidly, and the backend is core to how we deliver speed, accuracy, and scale.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement backend systems and APIs used across multiple product lines
• Build integrations with major platforms (e.g. Meta, Google) to unlock high-volume data pipelines
• Optimize performance, reliability, and throughput of existing infrastructure
• Work closely with frontend, data, and product teams to ship end-to-end features
• Push architectural decisions and shape engineering practices across the platform

What You Bring

• 10+ years building backend systems in production environments
• Deep experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and scalable API design
• Expertise with asynchronous systems and message queues
• Experience with third-party integrations, especially marketing APIsist
• Bonus: experience applying AI/ML tooling (like OpenAI) in real products
• Clear communication and ability to work across disciplines
• Track record of building in fast-paced, lean environments
