A leading consulting firm is seeking a Senior Azure Solution Architect experienced in Data Integration & API Services. This role involves designing scalable, API-enabled data solutions in a modern Azure ecosystem, supporting enterprise-wide analytics. Candidates should have over 8 years of IT experience with deep knowledge of Azure services. This is a 1-year contract position requiring onsite presence 3 days a week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with 4+ years in Azure-focused data architecture roles.
• Hands-on expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Functions.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs in a cloud-based data environment.
• Strong knowledge of Azure API Management and security best practices.
• Deep understanding of ETL / ELT processes, data warehousing, and BI tools.
• Proficiency in Data Modeling, SQL, and working with structured data formats.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance best practices.
• Experience in project management using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Overview

Our public client is looking for an experienced Senior Azure Solution Architect with expertise in Data Integration & API Services to lead the design and implementation of scalable, API-enabled data solutions within a modern Azure-based data ecosystem . This position will play a key role in architecting and developing end-to-end data solutions, APIs, and data platforms to support enterprise-wide data access, reporting, and analytics.

1 year contract, 3 days a week onsite

This position requires deep technical knowledge of Azure Data Factory , Azure Databricks , Azure Data Lake Storage , and Azure Functions , as well as a solid background in business intelligence and data engineering best practices .

Must Have

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with 4+ years in Azure-focused data architecture roles.
• Hands-on expertise in Azure Data Factory , Azure Data Lake , Azure Synapse Analytics , and Azure Functions .
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs in a cloud-based data environment.
• Strong knowledge of Azure API Management and security best practices (OAuth2, RBAC, managed identities).
• Deep understanding of ETL / ELT processes , data warehousing, and BI tools (Power BI, SSAS, etc.).
• Proficiency in Data Modeling , SQL , and working with structured and semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, Parquet) .
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks , data security , and compliance best practices .
• Experience in project management using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proven track record of building and optimizing scalable, maintainable, and secure data platforms in Azure.
