Job summary

Wipro Limited in Canada seeks a Data Engineer to design scalable data platforms using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake. Build ETL/ELT pipelines, ingest data from SQL Server and Azure SQL, and apply Medallion Architecture to modernize data workloads.

Work with stakeholders, optimize Spark performance, ensure data quality and governance, and provide production support plus mentoring on architectural modernization.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Experience designing scalable enterprise data platforms.
• Exposure to cloud-based data modernization initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT).

• Perform Delta Lake optimization and Spark performance tuning.
• Implement CI/CD using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance.
• Provide production support and root cause analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers on architecture modernization.
