Robertson & Company Ltd. is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to support an existing vacancy in Toronto. You will design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and data platform services as part of a hybrid work arrangement.

The role requires hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Functions, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, plus Terraform for IaC, Power BI administration, and cost governance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Robertson is seeking a skilled Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

Contract Period: 6 months
Pay Rate: Starting form $42 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid
Business Hours: Monday-Friday, Core business hours

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and data platform services
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions/Jenkins
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Support and optimize Power BI platform environments
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on scalable, cost-effective architectures
• Troubleshoot platform issues and provide operational support

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands‑on Azure cloud engineering experience
• Proficiency in core Azure services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, API Management
• Strong Azure networking knowledge (VNets, Private Endpoints, NSGs, DNS)
• Hands‑on Terraform experience for IaC
• Jenkins, GitHub & GitHub Actions for source control and CI/CD
• Power BI platform administration and deployment experience
• Data engineering fundamentals (pipelines, data lakes, ingestion patterns)
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, DP-203)
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and cost governance
