SKYTRAC in Kelowna, BC, is seeking an experienced Senior Avionics Certification Engineer to lead end-to-end avionics certification, including STCs, systems integration, and regulatory compliance. This in-office role offers relocation support and a clear path to senior authority within the DAO.

You will report to the DAO Manager, guiding cross-functional teams and acting as a primary technical interface with regulators to ensure airworthiness and compliant certification programs across satellite

Formación

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in aircraft certification with a strong avionics focus.
• Experience with avionics system integration, certification, and STC development and approval processes.
• Strong knowledge of airworthiness regulations (DO-160, EWIS) and certification processes.

Responsabilidades

• Lead certification activities for avionics system installations and modifications including communication and data systems.
• Own and drive STC development, including new STCs, amendments, and multi-platform expansions.
• Define and execute certification strategies, plans, and means of compliance for avionics systems.
• Interface with regulators (TCCA, FAA, EASA) and support approval activities.
• Provide technical oversight of avionics integration into aircraft platforms and review design data.
• Mentor engineers on certification processes and STC lifecycles.
