A leading engineering firm in Windsor is seeking a Project Engineer to support sales engineering efforts and manage technical delivery of projects. Candidates must have over 6 years of experience in an integration environment and a strong background in industrial automation and controls. The role involves providing technical consulting, producing project documents, and facilitating technical updates. Willingness to travel is necessary, and candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada and the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical consulting as needed via customer meetings.
• Gather and analyze technical requirements and perform technical assessments.
• Produce solution concepts, estimates, and detailed quotes.
• Provide recommendations for technical project resourcing.
• Produce assigned project documents and deliverables in accordance with processes.
• Lead/facilitate efforts to produce assigned deliverables.
• Evaluate the engineering quality of project deliverables.
• Attend and participate in regular customer status meetings.

Skills

6+ years experience in an integration environment

Excellent understanding of controls, industrial automation, and mechatronic processes

Experience with commissioning, start-ups, and troubleshooting of industrial automation projects

Willingness to travel to customer facilities

Education

Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering

Technology diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
