POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Group Manager, Audit & Risk Management Services, this role will be responsible for the management and delivery of value-added and risk-based operational audit services throughout the NFI group of companies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Assist in the development and execution of the operational audit plans
  • With the assistance of business unit leaders, understand the operational risk profile of each business unit and monitor the business profiles to identify emerging risks
  • Identify and assess operational risks and vulnerabilities, and evaluate the effectiveness of operational controls to mitigate risks
  • Identify potential areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Establish a high level of credibility and build professional relationships with the business unit teams and leadership teams, support functions, contractors and external auditors
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports on the results of operational audit projects for communication to management and stakeholders, and presentation to the Enterprise Risk Committee and the Audit Committee
  • Consult with the NFI Group Legal team on matters of compliance as requested
  • Monitor the status of deficiencies arising from operational audits and support management in remediation efforts
  • Participate in committees/councils developing new business processes, modifying current business processes, and /or implementing proposed system enhancements
  • Participate in cross-functional projects or teams as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • One to five years of audit experience with a focus on operational processes and controls
  • Understanding risk assessments, operational audit planning and executing operational audits
  • Post secondary degree in a related business, management, engineering or risk area, or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • An audit, management, control or engineering related certificate or professional designation, potentially including CME belt program or equivalent, or be enrolled in a program to obtain certificate or designation

A limited amount of travel, some international, is required for this position.
