Job summary

Certain Affinity in Toronto is seeking a Senior Technical Sound Designer to bridge creative ambition and technical execution. You will design, implement, and support audio systems across engines, collaborating with sound designers, engineers, and other disciplines to deliver immersive audio for AAA titles.

Ideal candidates ship titles, show a strong portfolio, and are proficient with Wwise and Unreal Engine, with a passion for interactive audio and diverse, inclusive environments.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping titles in a sound designer/technical sound designer role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality audio work.
• Experience with AAA console development.
• Proficiency with Wwise and Unreal Engine.
• Ability to work across disciplines and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, script and support complex audio systems across engines and toolsets
• Collaborate with engineering to implement code-level audio solutions
• Define and document best practices for audio workflow and system design
• Troubleshoot and debug audio systems and provide sound designer support
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure audio systems are well incorporated into all relevant aspects of the project's development
• Design and implement high quality sounds that fit the vision of our projects
