Job summary

Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. in Vancouver seeks a Senior Associate for New Accounts Services to join the Vancouver team. Hours are 7:30 am – 3:30 pm PST.

Responsibilities include credit checks, reviewing account opening packages for regulatory, AML, FATCA and tax requirements, and prompt responses to inquiries. The role requires 5+ years in new accounts administration within the brokerage industry, with CSC preferred, and strong attention to detail, organizational and client service skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of new accounts administration experience within the brokerage industry.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Dataphile and Hummingbird is considered an asset.

Position

Senior Associate, New Accounts Services – Vancouver team. Hours: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm PST.

Salary Range

$50,000 – $60,000.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit checks and corporate searches.
• Process incoming documents, which entails reviewing account opening packages to ensure that proper documents are used and completed correctly as per regulatory, anti‑money laundering, FATCA and tax requirements.
• Respond to incoming inquiries promptly, courteously and accurately, escalating all issues/inquiries to senior staff members when appropriate.
• Complete small projects on an ad‑hoc basis.
• Prepare document packages for the scanning process.
• Prepare client copies and welcome packages for mailing.
• Cross‑train on related positions within the team.
• Provide back‑up support to other team members as necessary.
