Job description

About Other.

Other. is raising the bar in Canadian advertising, setting a new standard for accountability, transparency, and opportunity.

We’re a privately owned Toronto-based team of 40, led by a small group of industry veterans. Recognized on the Globe & Mail’s list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies, we’re in an exciting growth stage and hiring key people to help us get there.

Our HQ is in Toronto, just steps from Union Station, with another office near Parliament Hill in Ottawa. We work on a hybrid model with flexible in-office time.

The Role

As a Senior Media Strategy & Planning Associate, you’ll play a key role in developing and executing media strategies that drive measurable results for our clients. You’ll work hands‑on across digital and traditional channels, building plans that connect audience insights, channel strategy, and performance data into cohesive, effective media solutions.

This is a great opportunity if you’re ready to take ownership over planning deliverables, client communications, and campaign outcomes — not just execution, but strategic impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop plans end‑to‑end: Build integrated media plans across digital, social, and traditional channels that align with client goals and KPIs.
  • Lead research and insight generation: Translate audience data, market research, and performance analytics into actionable media strategies.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally: Partner with account, creative, and performance teams to deliver unified campaigns that meet client objectives.
  • Manage vendor relationships: Source, evaluate, and negotiate with media partners to maximize campaign value and efficiency.
  • Monitor and optimize performance: Track delivery against KPIs, proactively recommend optimizations, and ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly.
  • Support and mentor associates: Review and guide junior team work, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment across deliverables.
  • Present with confidence: Contribute to client‑facing presentations, strategy decks, and post‑campaign reviews.
What You Bring
  • 3–5 years of experience in media strategy or planning, ideally in an agency or vendor environment.
  • Strong understanding of planning and executing digital and traditional media channels, including broadcast and OOH, media math, and key evaluation metrics.
  • Proven ability to translate data into insights and recommendations that drive business outcomes.
  • Experience using key tools such as Vividata, Comscore, and media planning platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills — confident explaining strategy to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a genuine passion for great work and strong results.
What’s In It For You
  • Competitive salary and performance bonus eligibility.
  • Top‑tier benefits: mental health coverage, major dental, annual health spending allowance, and more.
  • 4.5‑day work week with a flexible hybrid model.
  • Modern offices in Toronto & Ottawa with free coffee, snacks, and wellness spaces.
  • Clear career path and structured feedback systems.
  • A team that’s energetic, inclusive, and motivated to do great work together.
Why Join Us?

You’ll join an environment that values clarity, accountability, and growth — where your strategic thinking directly impacts client success and your career progression is transparent.

This is your opportunity to take the next step in your media career — to grow beyond execution and help shape the strategic direction of campaigns across a range of major brands.
