A retail company in Peterborough is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to enhance guest services and support store operations. The ideal candidate will have prior retail and/or management experience. Responsibilities include maximizing sales, developing staff, and managing inventory. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and capable of lifting 50 pounds. This position also offers an hourly rate between $21.60 to $21.85 and various benefits including paid vacation and medical plans.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services. They support the Store Manager in the overall operation of the store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage, and handling all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in accordance with company policies and procedures.
This position will work up to 38 hours per week.
Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
Physical demands: In excess of 8 hours of standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Prior retail and/or management experience is required.
