Job description

The Academic Collaborations Liaison is a new department under the Academic Medicine division. At Academic Collaborations Liaison, we facilitate the collaboration of our Academic Medical Centre and its faculty with our strategic external partners to further our Academic Medicine endeavours.

We are seeking a Senior Assistant Manager to support the development and implementation of strategic partnerships with academic partners across clinical services, education, research, innovation, and philanthropy. To foster collaboration, you will facilitate and support strategy formulation, joint processes as well as frameworks in joint programmes and initiatives. You are also expected to work closely with stakeholders to administer and coordinate joint appointments for academics and healthcare professionals. You will also be required to plan, execute and monitor the effectiveness of such collaboration and engagement sessions between stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include acting as secretariat for the pre and actual steering committee meetings with academic partners. This includes the preparation of agenda, writing of minutes, following up with the action parties and monitoring the progress of the sub-committees and domains.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Management/ Life Sciences/ Engineering/ Arts with at least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Background in strategic partnership, stakeholder and/or project management will be advantageous
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin to communicate with international stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders of all levels, including senior management
  • Team player and strong collaborator
  • Meticulous with high degree of initiative and resourcefulness
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Independent self-starter with ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
