PENN. Penningtons, part of Reitmans (Canada) Limited, seeks a Senior Art Director to shape fashion visuals from concept to execution. You will direct photoshoots, develop campaigns, and elevate our visual storytelling across campaigns, eCommerce and retail.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, on-set leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The position requires a strong design portfolio, 8+ years in art direction within fashion, and bilingual fluency in English and French.

• 8+ years of progressive art direction experience in fashion retail or consumer brands.
• Strong portfolio of fashion campaigns, photography and visual storytelling.
• Experience leading fashion shoots in studio and on location.

We're looking for a Senior Art Director with a strong creative vision, a passion for fashion and a love for bringing ideas from concept to execution.

Reporting to the Creative Director, you'll play a key role in shaping how PENN. Penningtons shows up across campaigns, eCommerce, digital and retail. From developing concepts and designing layouts to directing photoshoots and elevating our visual storytelling, you'll be at the heart of our creative process.

This is a hands-on senior creative role, where your expertise, design skills and ability to influence will make an impact without direct people management responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Turn ideas into inspiring campaigns: Partner with the Creative Director to translate seasonal brand direction into compelling concepts, mood boards, visual stories and campaign experiences.
• Create, design and inspire: Personally develop campaign layouts, visual concepts, presentations and creative assets that set the direction for execution across channels.
• Lead the creative vision on set: Direct major fashion photoshoots, collaborating with photographers, stylists, models, videographers and production partners to bring concepts to life.
• Elevate our eCommerce experience: Own and continuously evolve our eCommerce photography standards, from styling and posing to lighting, composition, cropping and image consistency.
• Connect creativity across channels: Collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Marketing, Content, eCommerce, Visual Merchandising and Studio teams to deliver a cohesive and inspiring brand experience.
• Push creative boundaries: Bring fresh ideas, emerging trends and innovative tools, including AI-powered creative solutions, to elevate storytelling and improve creative execution.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• 8+ years of progressive experience in art direction, ideally within fashion retail, fashion marketing or a consumer-focused brand.
• A background in graphic design or equivalent professional experience, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing fashion campaigns, photography, design and visual storytelling.
• Proven experience leading fashion photoshoots, both in studio and on location, with the confidence to guide creative teams and production partners.
• Strong design expertise, including typography, colour, composition, photography and visual identity across digital, eCommerce and retail.
• Experience developing and maintaining eCommerce photography standards, along with advanced knowledge of creative design tools and emerging AI technologies.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with strong presentation, communication and influencing skills.
• Bilingualism in English and French
