Senior Architect Industrial Buildings

Location

Toronto or Kitchener, ON

Hybrid / Flexible. 3-4 days in office

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Architect with deep experience in industrial building design and project delivery to join a dynamic and growing architecture and engineering practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial typologies including manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and processing facilities and bring a proven track record of managing teams, projects, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of industrial projects from concept through to completion.
• Manage and mentor a team of architects and technologists, including project staffing and resource allocation.
• Oversee project documentation, schedules, budgets, and coordination with consultants and clients.
• Contribute to RFP and proposal submissions, ensuring competitive, high-quality responses.
• Participate in business development efforts and client engagement initiatives to support firm growth.
• Ensure design excellence, technical accuracy, and adherence to building codes, standards, and sustainability practices.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect (OAA) or eligibility for registration in Ontario.
• 10+ years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a focus on industrial or large‑scale commercial projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience leading project teams and managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Proficiency with Revit and familiarity with project management and collaboration tools.
• Demonstrated success in preparing RFPs, proposals, and business development presentations.
