Job Summary

The Senior Applications Technical Specialist plays a critical role in the support, maintenance, integration, and enhancement of enterprise applications across the organization. This senior-level position requires deep technical knowledge of application architecture, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, provide mentorship to junior team members, and ensure business continuity through robust application support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical lead for enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, or other business‑critical platforms.
  • Design, configure, test, and implement application solutions based on business requirements.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for application issues, coordinating with vendors and internal teams as needed.
  • Develop and maintain integration points between applications, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to assess needs and recommend improvements or new application features.
  • Monitor application performance, apply patches, and manage upgrades with minimal downtime.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technical staff and support analysts.
  • Ensure application security compliance with organizational and industry standards.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution related to enterprise applications.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • He must have experience with 10-18 years of experience in application support, development, or systems integration.
  • She must have proven experience working with enterprise platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Workday, etc.).
Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in application architecture and support best practices.
  • Knowledge of APIs, web services, and middleware tools (REST, SOAP, JSON, etc.).
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle DB) and writing complex queries.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based application environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, SaaS platforms).
  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) are a plus.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑starter with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Certifications
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect / Power Platform
  • Salesforce Administrator or Developer Certification
